Safeguarding
The Welsh Padel Centre is committed to safeguarding the welfare of children, young people and adults at risk who engage in all padel centre activities.
Whether you/your child are engaging in coaching, matches or other organised events, we will strive to keep children, young people and adults at risk safe and free from harm.
David Cornwell is the Welfare Officer for The Welsh Padel Centre and is available to discuss any concerns or worries you may have - +44 7988 732068 or welfare@welshpadelcenter.com. David stresses: Members who wish to raise a matter of concern may do so knowing that I shall deal with it sensitively, confidentially, discreetly and with honesty of purpose.
Please see David's LTA Safeguarding poster here .
Children
The facility is designed to be entirely automated and, as such, does not have staff present. Children under secondary school age are not permitted to play without direct adult supervision unless it is part of an organised group session specifically organised for children. Children of secondary school age may play without direct adult supervision, but the courts must be booked by a responsible adult member who takes full responsibility for the children's behaviour and actions. There are currently no guest fees so, as long as the supervising/responsible adult is a member, there is no additional charge (over and above the court fee) for children to play. We do have children's loan rackets (free of charge).
